Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride Spring 2023 Recap
Three dedicated Administrators of the International Surf Lifesaving Association (ISLA), recently embarked on an epic adventure during the Rosarito to Ensenada 50-mile bike ride. Their primary goal was to “test out” the ability to turn this fun ride into a fundraising event for the organization, by encouraging ISLA Member participation in next year’s spring, 2024 ride.
With a clear mission in mind, the trio assembled at the starting line in Rosarito, showcasing their ISLA pride through their jerseys. Their enthusiasm and determination were palpable as they joined the ranks of fellow cyclists, ready to conquer the challenging coastal route. Throughout the ride, Henry, Jonathan, and Mike exemplified the spirit of ISLA, promoting its mission to save lives and create a strong community. They engaged with other participants, sharing stories of their experiences with ISLA and highlighting the impact members could make by getting involved.
As they pedaled along the scenic route, the friends embraced the beauty of the coastline and the hills that tested their physical limits. Their tenacity and passion for ISLA shone through, inspiring those around them to consider joining the cause. The support from local communities along the way further fueled their determination. Cheers and encouragement reverberated through the air, reinforcing the sense of unity and purpose that ISLA embodied.
Upon reaching the finish line in Ensenada, Henry, Jonathan, and Mike celebrated their accomplishment, knowing that they had conquered a challenging ride. Their presence and dedication garnered attention, with individuals expressing interest in joining the ISLA community. As next year’s ride approaches, the ISLA Admin Team eagerly anticipates the opportunity to welcome new members into the fold. The upcoming 2024 event promises adventure, teamwork, and the chance to contribute to ISLA’s lifesaving mission.
